The UK landscape for packaging compliance has changed significantly with the main packaging EPR regulations coming into force at the start of 2025. As these regulations have evolved over time, we have been providing members with monthly updates on the transition to packaging EPR in the UK through our news section on the BTHA website. All these updates, including links to further guidance can be viewed here.
This webinar will include updates on:
- The new packaging EPR regulations and what this now means for your business.
- Explore latest iteration of illustrative disposal fees in the next few years, including when you can expect to receive the final figures.
- Introduce PackUK, the pEPR scheme administrator
- What is the Recyclability Assessment Methodology (RAM) and how should your business be using it under the regulations.
- Latest on labelling requirements.
Time will be made during and after the webinar to answer your questions.
The webinar will be presented by Emma Wilkinson, Regulatory Affairs Leader at sustainability consultancy, Beyondly. Emma has a strong interest in resource efficiency, our transition to a circular economy and learning how these translate into government policy. She primarily supports the team with changing or new regulations for all compliance services delivered at Beyondly and keeps a close eye to international policy developments impacting UK businesses. As the elected Chair of the Packaging Scheme Forum, the trade association for packaging compliance schemes, Emma is a key link between packaging compliance schemes, UK Government (Defra), and the environmental regulators, and is at the forefront of engagement with these organisations on implementing a successful packaging EPR system.
